Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment Release Date Announced

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is officially scheduled to release on the PlayStation Network in North America on August 19th and Europe on August 20th. Along with the release date announcements, Bandai Namco have also shared details on some of the characters in the game.

• Yui used to be the players' Mental Health Counseling Program, MHCP0001. She was rescued by Kirito and Asuna for some reason. She is attached to them ever since and calls them "Papa" and "Mama"
• Agil is an indispensable reliable player to the Assault Team. He supports Kirito as a merchant to collaborate with the Assault guild. He recently opened a shop in "Arc Sofia" on the 76th Floor and supports Kirito and the Assault Team.
• Klein is the skilled leader of the guild, "Furinkazan" and participates in the Assault Team. He is also an old friend of Kirito ever since the first log in to "SAO" and like his elder brother.

For a refresher, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment captures the characters and storyline of the SAO universe - a series of virtual-reality worlds set in the near future. The story of the game follows series protagonist, Kirito (or create your own protagonist.), as he fights to survive in the VR world he is stuck in. Kirito will encounter characters from the manga and anime, as well as new ones exclusive to the game.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will also include an HD remaster of its predecessor, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment (Originally for PSP.), and both are set in an alternate storyline to the original manga/anime.
