[Updated 10/28] Ekoro Is PlayStation Mobile Bound
As you might begin to expect from the image above our heads, Ekoro is a game that involves ROBOTS! Not only will it include robots, it'll incorporate pollution into the game as well.
This is a game about ecology, after all. According to the developer's blog, "Ekoro is drawn from the Japanese word エコロジー (Ecology)."
Ekoro was originally destined to be be a game on the iOS platform, but the Ekoro team switched gears and decided to launch the game on the PlayStation Mobile store.
.
As of this article posting there was no available release date for the game, but it had been in development for a year so the game was expected to be well on its way to seeing a timely release.
This inference was recently confirmed by a tweet sent out by the developer in reply to this article's posting on Twitter, we now know that Ekoro has a planned release window of early 2015!
The developer will be releasing a gameplay video soon, at which time I'll update the article so you can see what its like.

Ekoro is a game mixing elements of the puzzle and tower defense genres, so it'll certainly be interesting to see how that is implemented.
If you'd like to hear more from the developers as they release information, you can follow them on the game's Twitter account, @ErokoGame.
Anyone intrigued by this game?

Ivent Games is Considering Bringing Strength of the Sword 3 to the Vita
After exchanging some tweets with the developer's official twitter account about bringing the game to the Vita, I became quite curious about how this game would be received in the Vita community.
Some games are received quite well, a la a Phoenix Force which I previously tossed up to the Vita community and will be coming to the Vita soon as a result.
Other games like Ray's The Dead have not had the same such luck in terms of support from Vita owners, so it is certain nothing is a guarantee. (That game is actually coming to the Vita, by the way. Cross-Buy with PS4!)
No matter the result, I have the platform with which to seek this information, so why not?
Better to try and fail than to not try at all.
I've looked over the game extensively in preparing this article and it seems like a quite fun and imaginative game with quite a bit of difficulty one must overcome in mastering it. I've never played it before, but I might just pick it up even if it doesn't come to the Vita. The price tag on it is certainly attractive enough.
Since its release, Strength of the Sword 3 has had a so-so reception with critics, garnering a 67/100 on Metacritic through a total of 15 reviews were submitted to the site.
This places the game as a solid playing experience and an above average game, so there could indeed be far worse games to be brought over than something like this.
At this time, Strength of the Sword 3 is an exclusive game for the PS3, but both the Vita and PC are in its sight as potential destinations depending on what turns out to be the better option when all things are considered.
There was gonna be #PSVita version, then there wasn't. IDK. The game fits the medium, but is it worth the dev cost. pic.twitter.com/3cwJxzU7cb
— Ivent Games (@IventGames) October 24, 2014
If you are a PlayStation Plus Member you are currently entitled to the game for only $1, but if you aren't it'll run you a bit more at $4.99.
Given its low cost, why not give it a go up close and personal to see if its something you'd like to have on the go?
If interested in purchasing it, you can find it here on the webstore or through your PS3.
I asked if the game could by any chance become cross-buy if it made it to the Vita, obviously making picking it up now a an even more appealing option, but have not yet received a reply as of yet.
I'll update the article should I receive a reply on this matter or have any other useful information.
Strength of the Sword 3 was created by a small development of two people, Lyubomir Iliev
& Georgi Rakidov, over five years. Five. That's a long time.
You can watch the announcement trailer for the game below to get a feel for what was put into the game by these devs.
SotS3 is a "challenge-driven Sword Combat game" where "the player assumes control of a blade-toting, magic-fueled war-machine from the heavens and take on the Dark Mechanism and his minions"
You can view some gameplay in the YouTube video below.
The game has 12 stages to fight your way through featuring four different bosses you'll need to overcome as well.
Weapon and defense diversity isn't the most varied you'll find in a game, but there is a noteworthy amount of 5 weapons and 5 shields for you to try out throughout the game.

So, with what you know now do you want this game on the Vita, PC, or perhaps even both?
Well, make it known!
You can tweet the devs, comment on here, tell your friends, or, if you're feeling particularly ambitious, do all three.

PlayStation Store Gets An October Flash Sale
By Unknown
On Friday, October 17, 2014
In Flash Sale, News, Playstation, PlayStation Vita, Sales, Vita, Vita Games
PlayStation has announced a flash sale of games and movies through their blog earlier today.
The flash sale will run from now until October 20th (Monday) at 12:00 PM Pacific.
This event is extremely light on Vita games, featuring only one full Vita and a PSP game playable on the Vita, but that one full Vita game is one that packs an extraordinary punch being one of the most popular games on the Vita.
While the Vita game section doesn't have a lot of fluff, the video library certainly does. Five Resident Evil movies are on sale along with dozens of others.
There should be something for everybody available!
You can access the flash sale via the web store by clicking here.
Do you see anything that catches your eye?

Free-To-Play Endless Runner Run Sackboy, Run! Speeding Onto Vita This November
November is certainly the month of the PlayStation Vita Free-To-Play as Fat Princess: Piece of Cake's release window was set for the same time and Run Sackboy, Run! got the same designation today.
Run Sackboy, Run! was originally planned for an October release on all three platforms per the PlayStation Blog, but that plan fell by the wayside for reasons unbeknownst to us.
@BrokenBoy331 November :)

The platform-survival game has spent the last few weeks being soft released on iOS in New Zealand where some crafty people who switched their iOS accounts over got to try their hand at the game.
There is a built-in social feature where you can challenge your friends to get higher scores than you in the game.
Additionally, playing this game on any mobile device will earn you exclusive costumes for LittleBigPlanet3, which will be playable on the PS3 and PS4.
Here's the Android/iOS GamePlay Trailer for you to get a little more information on what to expect:

In-depth Destiny of Spirits FAQ
I'm a big fan of Destiny of Spirits the turn-based, location based Free-To-Play RPG available on our beloved PlayStation Vita. I have put over 400 hours into the game itself and countless other hours through ventures such as my Destiny of Spirits Facebook page and my Destiny of Spirits subreddit on Reddit.
Something I have been working on off and on for the past few months is a comprehensive Destiny of Spirits FAQ. In making this FAQ I have talked to dozens of Destiny of Spirits players and used my own experience to make what I truly believe to be the biggest and best FAQ for the game you'll find around.
